Mountains & Prairies! It all started at sunset, 10 years ago, when Jamie & Liz said “I Do” in a wintry mountain-view ceremony overlooking Alberta’s magnificent Banff National Park. They are now nestled, along with their endearing frenchie Eddie, in a 1950’s bungalow “dream home” in the Edmonton river valley. They are loving life, each other & God!

As “serial home improvers” J+L thrive on taking up new challenges together. When they are not swinging a sledge hammer or knee deep in drywall dust and paint—they enjoy the simple things in life such as summer nights on their front porch sipping coffee, reading books by the crackle of the wood fireplace in the winter, entertaining family & friends and….wanderlust.

Renos and writing are 2 of Liz’s passions. She writes this blog about their adoption of a little hoo from the Congo to help, inform and include you in the mountains, plains & valleys of their story. J+L are both looking forward to meeting their precious daughter Z for the first time and cherishing every moment of everyday life with her…

“And as He spoke, He no longer looked to them like a lion; but the things that began to happen after that were so great and beautiful that I cannot write them. And for us this the end of all the stories, and we can most truly say that they all lived happily ever after. But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on for ever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.”
